Aretha Franklin -- Dancing with the Diva?
Rolling with an entourage of six large gentlemen last night at The Ivy, it's easy to see how some people would consider Aretha Franklin a diva -- and by "some people," we mean the staff at "Dancing with the Stars."
The Queen of Soul is set to perform on the show tonight, but sources there tell TMZ Aretha has quite the list of demands. Among them, we're told Aretha has requested the air conditioning be turned off whenever she sings and we're also told she was adamant about switching up her song at the last minute ... but even if it is "diva" behavior, does it really matter?
Note to "DWTS" staff -- she's ARETHA FRANKLIN. She can do whatever the hell she wants.
Now somebody go get her a big mac.

Rachael Ray Serving Up Secret Political Agenda?!
It looked like an innocent election night cooking guide in the newest Rachael Ray cooking magazine ... but in between the delicious "Bipartisan Salad" and the "Campaign Trail Mix" lies a devious, grassy knoll-like plot that could decide the presidency.
The proof is in the pages of the November edition of Everyday w/ Rachael Ray magazine -- in a political party food photo spread that was supposed to be impartial -- but it's not -- and we can prove it!!!
1) The first page of the spread contains two buttons -- the text on the Obama pin is perfectly readable, on the McCain button, John's name is cut off!
2) There are two cups bearing political stickers on the second page of the spread -- the Obama sticker is clearly readable, complete with a link to his website; the McCain cup is turned, so only the letters "McCa" are legible PLUS his website is blurred out of focus.
3) There are two more buttons on page three of the spread! They are both partially cut out of frame ...BUT the Obama pin is clearly identifiable; the way the light hits the McCain button, it's impossible to read.
Coincidence?!!?!?!?!?!!? WE THINK NOT!!!

Aretha Franklin must have seen TMZ TV the other night. She ditched the Big Mac for a Mac-intosh...as in apple.
Ms. Aretha also made it clear....the feud with Beyonce is on baby! You'll recall Beyonce has called Tina Turner "The Queen" of music and not Aretha. Yesterday in DC, Aretha had some choice words back for "Beyonce Who?"

Aretha Franklin had a mid-day itchin' for two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions and a little R-E-S-P-E-C-T!
The Queen of Soul's ride was spotted under the Golden Arches in D.C. yesterday, and although she didn't go in, our McSpies say someone in her crew made a food run for a Big Mac & fries combo. The details on the drink are sketchy -- she either had an orange drink or an iced coffee. Either way, it was delicious.
No word on if Aretha Super Sized the meal.

Emeril's Bro-in-Law -- The Shiitake Hits the Fan
Looks like Emeril Lagasse and his brother-in-law are into different types of mushrooms, and this is an awesome story.
Kent Lovelace just got the BAM! for illegal possession of mushrooms in Mississippi. The cops tell us he got pulled over on Sunday because his car was swerving. He allegedly claimed diabetes made him weave (Emeril not feeding him enough?), but a search of the car turned up shrooms and traces of MJ.
Just to kick up the humiliation a notch -- we're told it was Emeril's wife (Kent's sister) who had to shell out for his $5K bond.

"Idol" Loser Lives, Eats ... Doesn't Sing
Whatshisname with the dreads from "American Idol" was spotted eating a burrito on Tuesday. 
He put up a good fight with the first half of the burrito, but grew tired of it and just stopped caring when he got towards the end.
