17. O.K......as tragic as his passing was, I still don't get it! For years and years you hear of famous musicians and actors that have rode the drug spiral into oblivion (think Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Anna Nicole Smith, River Phoenix). So in this day and age, with all the knowledge that is out there and all of this past drug history, why are celebrities STILL over using prescription drugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Hello!!!!!!!!! Can't sleep at night??? Feeling anxiety???? Just take 10 sleeping pills. That will help right?!?!?! You don't have to be a mathmatician to do the math.

18. This remains a tragic story...Michelle loves her daughter and she loved Heath. It's hard to get insured for a movie if there's a hint of drug use. She protected them and right or wrong, no amount of overthinking this now will bring back a good actor who was on his way to becoming a great actor.
By the way: until these damned drug companies stop advertising directly to the consumer and doctors and pharmacists stop taking kickbacks (and being imprisoned for doing so) there will always be an epidemic of "legal" drug usage. Add to that the overmedication of the elderly and disabled. You don't have to be famous to fall into this trap.

19. So much for all the idiots who were saying he wasn't an addict. This was the last nail and it's in the coffin. End of story.

20. Well the truth finally comes out, as we all expected it would. Some of us already knew. She loved him more than he loved himself. Addiction is a terrible thing, the children suffer so.

22. Why would anyone pressure a young men just into his career to have a baby? I cannot understand a woman who would expect such a young man to go that route and then browbeat him then for not settling down. A man must sow his oats and get this out of his system. I also wont forget how she was too giddy and gleeful on the beach with those obnxious friends of hers while so called mourning her man's passing. I would be devastated that I couldnt do a thing for a long while...

25. When a person takes in alcohol and other drugs, they invite "spirits" to come inside them. It's in many cultures. I believe it's even in the bible.
Initially, the spirits are harmless; but taken repeatedly, the spirits increase their power over the host. It's like the "real you' is now in the background, and the spirits are now directing things.
Here's an example: A young, mild-mannered, soft-spoken Navajo, told this story on tv. Seems he went on a real bender, to where he blacked out over a period of time. When he finally came to, the tv was on. The newcaster was telling about the murder of a youngish woman. As the story unfolded, the young man started to shake, because the scenario seemed to be familiar. To make the story shorter, it was he who killed the woman.
Another example concerns a very talented, personable young actor. He had cleaned out his body by consuming the right foods and drinks. But then he made the fatal mistake of taking in hard drugs. His body, now "purified" could no longer process the poisons fast enough. It was like being hit by a mack truck, as the sayin' goes.
I will miss Heath Ledger as long as I'm on this planet. I cried so hard when the news hit me. But his death pushed me to love my fellow human beings more. And it increased my spiritual growth. And it made me wary of prescription medications.
Now, there is another talented, youngish actor who apparently has fallen off the wagon. He knows it could kill him. But he is doing to himself what he wouldn't do to a friend. That's because he's NOT a friend to himself.
So, all I could do is pray for the man, who seems to have it all; except LOVE OF HIMSELF!

26. sad and scary when people who seem to have so much are still so lost inside....
27. How do you know he had an addiction? His death was ruled an accidental overdose. Many people take Xanax, Valium and Ambien at the same time. That does not make you an addict. You have no idea for sure that he was a drug addict and it is horrible that you would say that when he is not alive to defend himself. I swear you people are like sharks looking for blood. You are mena to everyone you post about and I don't think a majority of the information is even correct. Harvey should go back to being a lawyer and not do smear campaign's on people.

What do you think he is thinking right know! His thinking about alittle angel he left, but thanking God he left her with a wonderful Mother that can take care & love her for both of them! Does anyone in this world have a heart any more? Really... just put yourself in others shoes once in a while! PLEASE!!!!!

30. Come on people, you are not helping others like Heath being in denial! It is obvious the guy was off the charts with substance abuse for awhile now. I don't think his behavior was caused only by mental problems, and it's obvious that's why Michelle left him! He was probably a completely manic control freak and she felt helpless. Some people you simply cannot help and have to allow to hit bottom, well he went beyond bottom into the great beyond. It is a shame because he was so young. I think it's funny because people loved him soooo much as a movie star that they get all defensive about someone they don't know, are putting him on a ridiculous pedestal and he was only human... and actors are notorious for going to extremes and being neurotic and prone to addictions, it's almost like it is a part of their craft...but on occasion, sadly, one of them takes it too far.
