Lets Get This Party Started
Sean & Robin Wright Penn -- Into the Splitsville

The end of the year is spelling the end of the line -- for some long-ish celeb marriages.

Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn are splitting up after 11 years, they announced yesterday, to People. Their rep, Mara Buxbaum, confirms that the couple, who have two teenage children, will be parting ways, though no details were immediately available.

The pair met in the early 1990s and were married in 1996. They starred together in 1998's "Hurlyburly" and 1997's "She's So Lovely."

46. The problem with Sean is not that he is a communist, an abusive husband and a violent individual...The problem with Penn is that he is alive and his brother is dead. He should be the one 6 feet under, like the monsters he praised, he should not be living...The world will be a better place! Oh well,....

Congratulations to Robin, we all know you deserve better!

47. I am distrubed by all who denigrate Mr. Penn for exercising his American Freedoms and Rights. But you too have the right to say whatever comes to your mind as well! It seems anyone who stands and questions world events is put through the wringer in the arena of General Public Opinion. Mr. Penn is a gifted artist and a concerned American. And don't forget, QUESTION EVERTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

49. Funny...I always thought Sean Penn was just about hotter than a mexican plate lunch. He seems like the kind of man who'd smack your bottom hard a few times whilst getting down to business with you in the guest bathroom at a party, while talking awfully dirty in your ear the whole time. How delicious! I think he's absolutely magnificent. His no-talent little wifey is just such a plain, boring, blah house-mouse. I'm certain he's glad he got rid of Madonna when he did, seeing as how she looks all used up and stiff-legged now. Call me, Sean!

50. Penn is such a distasteful a**hole of a person in so far as I can measure by his public persona. While I have in the past enjoyed some of his movies, I stopped attending anything he is in just because I don't want to support his what I consider to be generally anti-American statements and activities.

52. Wow! The Thought Police have infiltrated the trashy magazine sites too. Do we ever get a break? Sean Peen has the right to his opinion. And anyone that thinks this country has NEVER done anything wrong is kidding themselves.

53. robin wright has always been one of my favorite actresses, and i was shocked that she married him.
we don't know him personally. and just maybe he changed his ways for her, you never know?
but regardless, they've been together for about 17 years.. that's a very long time in hollywoods standards. i wish the best for her.

54.
So glad that Robin is getting rid of that ugly, disgusting Sean Penn. I do feel for their kids. They probably love him, despite his being a first-class a$$hole.

Best of luck to you and the kids, Robin.

56. Sean Penn, THANK YOU FOR YOUR GREAT FILM "INTO THE WILD." IT IS BEAUTIFUL AND HAUNTING AND I AM READING THE BOOK NOW. I AM SEEING IT FOR THE 4TH TIMJE TONIGHT.

IT IS MY FAV FOR THE ACADEMY AWARDS, BEST PIC, BEST ACTOR, BEST DIRECTOR, AND OF COURSE BEST SOUNDTRACK. YOU AND THE GREAT EDDIE VEDDER MAKING A FILM TOGETHER ARE MY IDEA OF HEAVEN ON EARTH.

I HAVE LOVED YOU SINCE 'FAST TIMES...' 'BAD BOYS' AND 'AT CLOSE RANGE' WITH CHRIS WALKEN. YOU ARE THE MAN.

WHO CARES WHAT YOUR POLITICS ARE OR YOUR PRIVATE LIFE WITH YOUR FAMILY. A DIVORCE DOES NOT DEFINE WHO A PERSON IS. YOU ARE AWESOME. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK AND GOOD LUCK AT THE OSCARS (NOT THAT YOU CARE MUCH ABOUT AWARDS--WHICH IS WHAT YOUR FANS LOVE MOST ABOUT YOU)

TAKE CARE AND GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND ROBIN

A GRATEFUL FAN,
NOELLE IN CHICAGO

58. Sean Penn made an A.... of himself after Katrina. He came down to New Orleans to just look around. He was in the way of the Police and all the cleanup people. He just stayed a couple of days, not to help, but to get his picture taken on TV and in the Newspaper. He's as big of a Media Whore as Paris Hilton. He's mean, too.

59. #10 - Amen to that!! You never know what goes on behind closed doors. It's their business, not ours. They are both human like the rest of us. And both incredible talents, that's for sure!! I just love the fact they chose to raise a family in NorCal as opposed to Hollywood. I pray for a peaceful healing process for the entire Penn family.
